Platform for applications to support the energy efficiency of housing again available

The platform for submitting applications for support for the energy efficiency of residential buildings is once again available after the high demand caused constraints, the Government said this Wednesday.

An official source from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action confirmed to Lusa that the platform is already up and running, after, this afternoon, having mentioned that the high demand generated constraints on it, on the first day for the submission of applications for support in cause.

An Environmental Fund operator, contacted by Lusa through the telephone number available on the entity's website, indicated that the platform had not been available since 00:00. The new Support Program for Residential Buildings + Sustainable 2023 (3C 2023) will have a total allocation of 100 million euros, and this first notice will mobilize 30 million euros for applications to be submitted between this Wednesday and 31 October.

This support will finance 85% of the replacement of windows, the installation of photovoltaic panels and natural insulation, among others, and only permanent housing properties will be considered eligible.

According to the tender opening notice published on the Environmental Fund's website, interventions to replace inefficient windows with efficient windows, with an energy class equal to A+, the application or replacement of thermal insulation on roofs, walls or floors, heating and/or cooling systems and domestic hot water (DHW) using renewable energy, energy class A+ or higher, installation of photovoltaic systems and other renewable energy production equipment for self-consumption with or without storage and also interventions aimed at water efficiency.

Each beneficiary is limited to a maximum total incentive of 7,500 euros, per single-family building or autonomous fraction, discounting the amounts supported in the second phase of the previous Support Program for More Sustainable Buildings. Additionally, applications for buildings located outside the districts of Lisbon and Porto have a 10% increase in the maximum incentive limit per type of intervention.

According to the notice, if the amount supported by the beneficiary in this first notice is equal to or greater than 5,000 euros, the candidate must present the energy certificate of the intervened property, before and after execution.
