The most expensive streets to buy a house in Portugal

Among the 10 most expensive streets in the country to buy a house, there are eight in the Lisbon district and two in the Algarve.

Buying a property is already an unaffordable cost for some portfolios, but even so, there are those who are not shy about spending more to buy in the best location, which, as a rule, is also the most expensive. According to a study by the Idealista real estate portal, the street with the highest average house price in Portugal is Avenida Marginal, in Oeiras. Here, the value for sale requested by the owners reaches 4,470,462 euros.

It is still in the Lisbon region, more specifically along the north bank of the Tagus River, that real estate sales prices are more expensive.

In second place is Avenida das Descobertas, in the parish of São Francisco de Xavier in the Restelo area, with an average advertised price of more than 3.75 million euros. It is on this street that the imposing embassy buildings are concentrated.

Completing the podium in the ranking of the most expensive streets is Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho, the artery that connects the roundabout at Areeiro to Humberto Delgado Airport in the capital, with an average price of 3.67 million euros.

From here, the Algarve joins the list, with the fourth address with the most exclusive prices to buy a house located in Quinta do Lago, specifically on Estrada Quinta do Lago, in Almancil, in the municipality of Loulé. Here prices are around 3.59 million euros.

Then follow Avenida Brasil, located in Cascais (2,846,667 euros), and Rua das Papoilas, also in this municipality, where the average price of luxury housing is set at 2.79 million euros.

Again towards the south, in seventh position is Avenida do Mar, located in the exclusive development of Vale do Lobo, in Almancil, which has houses at an average price of around 2.40 million euros.

The top 10 of the most expensive streets in Portugal is complete with Rua Melo e Sousa, in Estoril, next to the casino (2,347,917 euros), Avenida da República, in Cascais (2,343,960 euros), and Rua dos Carnations, in the Birre area, also in Cascais (2,247,684 euros).
